Fulfillment - Investigating Yourself.

Fulfillment – INVESTIGATING YOURSELF.

Many of us have what’s called destination addiction. Preoccupation that happiness (or fulfillment) is only when we get to something, when we achieve something or arrive somewhere else…For ex. when the kids are older, when the kids are sleeping, when it’s the weekend.

Until we give up the idea that happiness is somewhere else, it will never be where you are.

There are varying definitions of fulfilment – “to put into effect,” “to achieve,” “to carry out,” or “to realize.”

Throughout this month we will help you step closer to all four variations – especially “to realize.” To realize that right now you have everything inside you to feel fulfilled right here and right now, you may just need to uncover it.

Reflect on these questions below:

  1. In what areas of your life do you feel fulfilled? Can you name three?

  1. In what areas of your life do you feel unfulfilled? Can you name three?

  1. What are the big things that motivate you in life? Family, love, money, success.

  1. FOCUS QUESTION FOR THIS WEEK: What are the small things that motivate you life? Working with your hands, creating order out of chaos, working in a large team, being outdoors.

INVESTIGATE YOURSELF:

If you struggled to make a list of the small things that motivate you here is your weekly task:

Try and remain more conscious this week when you have a moment to yourself:

What do you naturally turn to first? (Other than taking a nap!)

Going outside?

Calling a friend?

Doing exercise?

Making a healthy snack?

Using your hands?

Writing things down?

Meditating?

Over the course of this week, make a note as to what you turn to as your most favourable tasks…the ones you probably wish you had more time to do.
